Our second day in Berlin involved a little day trip to Potsdam. Potsdam is a little town just outside Berlin that is home to a lot of old royal palaces. We spent about half a day walking around the palaces and gardens which were simply amazing!!! We didn’t got right to the top of this palace but it was definitely one of the grander palaces in the area.

In the middle of the river they’ve put a little hydro scheme in there to generate some electricity from the river… smart people

The hostel we stayed can’t really be seen but it’s at the bottom of the picture on the left hand side of the river. It didn’t look like much from the outside of the building but was pretty awesome on the inside.

On the left in this photo is the COOP… these things were everywhere and are like a combo BigW, Woolworths, and BWS all in one… aww yeah

I walked around the terminals a bit but couldn’t really get a good shot of the city at night… we saw a little of the city as we flew in and this would be an awesome city to check out… might have to organise a little trip here sometime

So that still left a few hours waiting for the next plane. The trip was almost over so I just felt like playing with the camera a bit before having to go back to work…

Hong Kong was on the last leg home for us. We had already been travelling for 24 hours in a row and I needed to stay awake in Honk Kong airport so keeping myself amused was a bit of a priority.

This shot was one of those ones where I was mucking around to stay awake.

We had a brief stop in Dresden after we left Berlin. Unfortunately we only had a few hours here as we had to make it to Prague that afternoon. From what we saw of it Dresden was a gorgeous city… it has been practically rebuilt after the allies destroyed it in World War 2.
