We’ve checked into our room at Ayers Rock Resort. The hotel we’re staying at is called The Lost Camel. The rooms are tiny but they’ve got a funky design to them which makes the most out of the limited space – having said that we’re not here for the accommodation, we’re here to see the rock
Ayers Rock resort is pretty large and has like four or five different places you can stay depending on what you’re after. It also has a little shopping center and dining precinct – again everything caters to a wide variety of budgets.
We did most of our eating at the Gecko Cafe which had great food – their pizzas and pastas were awesome
After checking out the resort we went for a little walk to the outskirts of Yulara. There’s a walking track which branches into two viewing platforms – one for Uluru (Ayers Rock) and one for Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). This shot is of Kata Tjuta.
